Real-Time Monitoring
Real-time monitoring services of sensor thresholds for exceedance caused by construction activities
The Second Avenue Subway was New York City’s first major subway system expansion in over 50 years. The line stretches 8.5 miles along the length of Manhattan’s East Side, from 125th Street in Harlem to Hanover Square in Lower Manhattan.
Geocomp provided real-time monitoring services to E.E. Cruz as part of the reconstruction activities at the Second Avenue Subway 96th Street Station. In order to address concerns raised regarding the public’s exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOC) and total particulates, Geocomp worked to modify our automated data collection and management system, iSiteCentral®. The modifications compared results from multiple monitoring stations and relayed contaminant concerns to the project’s central reference station.
