The LoadTrac II is a full-size, higher capacity load frame with flexibility to run fully automated compression/extension testing for popular geotechnical tests that must have accurate control of the rate of displacement during loading.
LoadTrac II can run in stand-alone mode (ideal for teaching) or can be connected to a PC for full automation from test start to finish without intervention by the user.
The load frame houses a high speed, precision micro stepper motor that moves the load platen and thereby applies a vertical load to the soil specimen. An embedded control board with a dedicated CPU uses readings from the force and displacement transducers to determine what signals should be sent to the stepper motor. The control board is capable of applying a new vertical load increment within one second and accurately maintaining that load while monitoring the displacement.
Addition of FlowTrac flow pumps and/or cyclic hardware greatly expands the capabilities of the LoadTrac II to perform a broad range of testing – making it one of the most versatile load frames on the market.
