Concrete
Compressive strength
Cylinders (typically 4" diameter x 8" high or 6" diameter x 12" high) are cast in-field with fresh concrete, cured over night, transported to the laboratory and cured in water (or high-humidity chamber). At the pre-determined curing period, the cylinder is tested in compression with strength and failure mode recorded and reported.
