Laboratory Accreditations/Validations

United States Army Corps of Engineers (USCOE) Validation

Validated by the United State Army Corp of Engineers

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center's Materials Testing Center (MTC) inspects GTX’s laboratories once every two years for compliance with Engineer Regulations 1110-1-8100 (Laboratory Investigations and Testing) and 1110-1-261 (Quality Assurance of Laboratory Testing Procedures)

American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Accreditation

AAP

The AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) recognizes the competency of GeoTesting Express’ laboratories in construction materials testing. The AAP utilizes laboratory assessment (on-site audits) and proficiency sample services provided by the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) and the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) for accreditation. GTX’s laboratories are audited once every two years and participate in the proficiency testing program twice per year to ensure compliance with appropriate quality and procedural requirements.

American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) Accreditation

A2LA

The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has accredited GeoTesting Express' Massachusetts laboratory in the field of geotechnical testing. Our accreditation is based on internationally recognized criteria for competence in laboratories: ISO/IEC 17025:2005. A2LA performs scheduled on-site audits of our laboratory and requires us to enroll in a proficiency test program. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recognizes A2LA accreditation as an acceptable means of qualifying calibration laboratories.

Geosynthetics Accreditation Institute – Laboratory Accreditation Program (GAI-LAP)

Geosynthetics Accreditation Institute

The GAI-LAP program ensures that GTX is capable of properly rendering the tests that we are contracted to perform. GTX’s equipment, documentation and testing protocols are evaluated for adherence to standardized test methods. Our lab is audited once every five years and is enrolled in a yearly proficiency test program to ensure compliance with requirements.

Foreign Soil Entry Permit

Licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to receive soil samples from outside the United States.
