Drilling Rate Index, Bit Wear Index, Cutter Life Index, Flakiness, Brittleness Value, Siever's J-Value, Abraision Value, Abraision Value Cutter Steel
Description of Test
The Drillibility tests produce reliable predictions of TBM performance. The test method determines Drilling Rate Index, Bit Wear Index, Cutter Life Index. The indices are indirect measures for the drillability of rock in tunneling and rock excavations.
Preferred Test Sample Size
Rock core specimens
Number of Test Specimens
Test Specimen Size
15 - 20 kg preferred; minimum smple size 10kg of rock core
